The Love Witch (2016)
have y’all watched this movie? i’m curious what witches think about the portrayal of the craft, but thought this group would be especially fun to ask since it was filmed and takes place within our community!
personally, i’ve been meaning to rewatch. i remember loving the aesthetics of the movie and relating to the titular Love Witch, though the movie and character can be seen as quite male-centered. definitely not for everyone with the stylized acting, and i distinctly remember a shot at borderline personality disorder in one of the lines which both made me giggle a littleee bit but also left a bad taste in my mouth (as someone who is diagnosed with the illness😭).
i think of this movie often though i’ve only seen it once, just for the aesthetics that match mine (and also joking about it with my boyfriend that i am the Love Witch lol). I would love to know what you guys thought of it if you have seen, or give you a recommendation; at the very least, it’s fun to watch a movie filmed where you live :)
