Well guys, I did it. I just completed KH3 on Critical Mode with Pro Codes. Whew! I ain’t gonna lie, it was hard, and not always in an enjoyable way, at least with some of the bosses, not all of them. Oh, and I got the Oblivion Keyblade!!
I did all this for the Oblivion, and it was so worth it. I feel like if you’ve played this whole game on Critical Mode with Pro Codes on, you’re insane and a masochist. Not saying I couldn’t do it, but I wouldn’t. Why would I? It would be miserable.
I actually started like that in Olympus Coliseum until I found out you only have to keep them on when fighting bosses to get points. And I’ve done some crazy things before, like playing KH2 on Critical Mode for my first time, but not that.
Also, I was going for the Risk-Taker trophy. I found out that you had to play KH3 on Critical Mode to get the Oblivion keyblade, and at the same time, I didn’t want to start two new playthroughs just to get Oblivion and Risk-Taker separately. So I decided to do both in one new playthrough to challenge myself, and this probably wasn’t a good decision on my behalf. It probably would’ve been better to start a new journey with Pro Codes on Beginner Mode to obtain the Risk-Taker trophy. Now it’s going to be way harder than I thought, but I’ll try defeating the Organization and Yozora on Critical with Pro Codes anyway.
I defeated every single boss with Pro Codes on except Sköll. I had to turn off like two of them to beat him, getting 8,250 points. I’m still kinda bitter about that, not gonna lie. I saved a slot in hopes of redeeming myself.
The bosses that were the hardest for me were Sköll, Lump of Horror, Angelic Amber, Grim Guardianess, and King of Toys, in that order. The last two were easy once you got their moves down, not gonna lie. The first three, though? I don’t even know how many times I had to restart compared to the rest. They were all hard, but once you study the moves, they become a lot easier to handle.
Lowkey, it was kind of a waste of time to put myself through all of this. I might just play KH3 on the easiest mode to get the Risk-Taker trophy, but not right now. I mean, honestly, it’s just a trophy. I’ve already gotten the Platinum in all the other Kingdom Hearts games, so I’m not stressing over it. The All-Rounder trophy is easy to get, and honestly, so is Risk-Taker, I guess.
