One of my favorite blanket (one of the hardest and time consuming also)
I don't know about modern but it is my latest favorite. Update The pattern is called Sona, designed by Arunima Goel. The technique is Tunisian Blackwork. Patterns are available on Ravelry, Thrivecart and instructional videos are available on YouTube.
