Why does Traditional Chinese Medicine treat snoring completely differently?
I was reading about Chinese remedies for snoring and noticed a lot of Traditional Chinese Medicine approaches focus on more than just congestion or sleep position.
A surprising amount of it is about airway strength, tongue posture, breathing patterns, and throat muscle tone.
Some of the things I kept seeing mentioned were:
tongue exercises
jaw exercises
breathing training
posture
acupuncture
myofunctional therapy
The idea seems to be that weak tongue or throat muscles can make the airway collapse more during sleep, which leads to snoring.
What’s interesting is that this overlaps with a lot of newer airway training stuff too.
Has anyone here actually had success improving snoring by consistently training the tongue or airway muscles?
Not talking about a miracle cure or anything. Just curious if people noticed a real difference over time.
And yeah, obviously if someone thinks they have sleep apnea they should probably get checked out properly.
The person lying next to the snorer is paying the price
Are the elongated cushions the new ovals?
Both are top-tier choices for engagement rings. But
Why you might prefer an Elongated Cushion Cut?
Vintage Vibe: It has "pillowy' soft corners and "chunky" sparkle, antique feels that oval lacks
No Bow-Tie Effect: Ovals are known for exhibiting a dark shadow across the middle. Elongated cushions typically don't have this issue.
Better Value: They are slightly less in demands than ovals. You can get a higher-quality stone or larger carat weight for the same budget
Snoring happens when the flow of air through your mouth and nose is blocked. About 4 to 5 out of 10 adults snore. That's 40 to 50%. While occasional snoring is harmless, loud and chronic snoring can sometimes indicate a more serious condition.
Some tips you can do to get a hold on your snoring includes diffusing essential oils, changing your sleeping position, mouthtaping and losing weight.
What is the color of a real diamond?
Real diamonds are ideally colorless, but they naturally range from colorless to light yellow or brown.
Factors Affecting Color
Elements: Nitrogen produces yellow, while boron creates blue.
Fluorescence: Ultraviolet light can make some diamonds look whiter (especially K-Z range) or occasionally hazy.
Value: For white diamonds, less color means higher value. For fancy diamonds, more intense color means higher value
