I’ve recently upgraded from a 500D to a R50, night and day difference! Feels like I’m cheating with the AF.

It came with the RF kit lens, but I’ve basically not touched it. Been using my 24mm EFS pancake, 50mm EF, and 55-250 EFS IS II using the adapter.

Ideally I’d like to get the size down by ditching the adapter. I’ve come across the Sigma 18-50 2.8, and this seems like it might be a great option to replace my two primes and keep the adapter on the telephoto.

Does anyone have any experience with moving from primes to a zoom lens? Or should I just stick with the adapter and primes I have, and put the money into a flash? Mainly taking photos of my young kids, lots of which is indoors.
