I've been wanting to make something like this for a long time. Love the original show. Rod was a really good writer. Common theme I take away from the show? Mankind is its own monster. Nothing else compares.
Did this in three layers to keep things separate. The background is just a mess of watercolor textures to make cool looking shadows, the doorway is another piece of watercolor paper with just the broken spirals on it, then the shadowy figure of Rod Serling is another piece cut out. Everything is finished in a gloss varnish except Rod. He has a flat, clear gesso finish to help him stand out.
