I just found out about this, normally the speed is set to 100and the activation time is set to 100ms, which creates a delay of 100-200ms that it takes to register movement, depending on the game. I changed the speed to 1000 and activation time to 0, it's such a crazy difference, it removes all input lag.

Of course it only makes sense for certain games, like Brawl Stars in my case.

Doesn't matter if it's super or normal, I can't move for a few seconds, until I shoot normally again and release wasd and then press again.

My iPad 8 32GB (I didn’t choose it, my school did) has been freezing and lagging whenever I open an app or try to type something.

It started when I updated to iOS 26. It’s basically unusable, especially for light gaming because it crashes and won’t react for multiple minutes after each match. I’ve tried many things to fix it.

So now I’m looking for a new tablet. Should I maybe get an iPad 11, or a refurbished iPad Air 5 M1? The problem with those is that they have only got a refresh rate of 60, so I could also get a Xiaomi or something.

My budget isn’t fixed, but anything between 200 and 400€/$ is reasonable for me.

What are your thoughts?
