Platinum Pro member here. Checking in for my first vacation of the year, and every seat on my trip was changed from Main Cabin Extra (red seat) to Premium (green seat). Aisle to window. Called the Advantage desk to ask why. Response: If they determine there’s a need for your seat you’ll be moved. I asked: Why was I downgraded and not placed in another Main Cabin Extra seat? Response: They decide at the airport. I asked: Why was my Advantage status not factored into the choice to move me around? My companion is Gold and was not moved. Response: They don’t look at status. I also noticed my complimentary upgrade request didn’t officially go in until check in vs that 72 hour early upgrade window. These two are key perks that essentially don’t exist. I’m sure it’s buried deep in the fine print somewhere but it’s front and center in promoting the Advantage benefits for increased status. Seems like false advertising.
