My Dad’s Bigfoot Experience
Growing up in Tulsa, OK my dad, for all of my childhood was a truck driver for Pepsi. My dad always tried to be present for sporting events and important school events, but it was situational if he’d actually make those events, depending on his trucking routes. Looking back, I recognize that he felt a lot of guilt for the things he missed out on my sister’s and my life, but he was always transparent with things, even if it was honesty about not having enough money for gas to make my soccer game, etc. He really was the most honest person that has ever existed in my life. When I was 14 years old, in 1997, my dad came home from work and swore that he saw Bigfoot just north of Antlers, OK US271. Although I knew he wasn’t a person to lie, I believed for decades that he was just telling a funny story, may have been tired from driving, may have encountered a person in a Bigfoot costume, etc. it didn’t matter who he talked to, but when a topic that related to Bigfoot came up, it was the most anticipated conversation in his life. He swore to the day he died in 2018 that he knew with 100% certainty it could not have been a human because of how far the steps spanned when it walked. I always try to share his story and have recently talked to a guy that also swears to have seen Bigfoot just a little further north of where my dad claimed to have seen it.
I suppose I just felt it necessary to share his experience that I didn’t believe for a long time, but to also see if anybody in Oklahoma has happened to have any encounters in that area or nearby
