Do you start from your watch or your phone?

Curious what everyone's preference is. Obviously you can start a run, via runna directly on the apple watch.

Or you can start it on your phone in the app instead.

Is there a difference? What is your experience with this?

I started running in late summer/early fall last year. I started having nagging knee pain on and off.

Ran a 5K turkey trot and it went okay, not great. A few weeks later my knees were both trashed and I needed PT.

I didn’t run from mid December to February. Started a return to running plan with Runna and had it set for 12 weeks with slow progression.

Just shaved 6+ minutes off my time in November and it was so much more enjoyable. Super stoked over the progress!!

I started running in the late summer/early fall last year, and I had on and off issues with my knees. Ran a 5K turkey trot on thanksgiving but after that I had the worst bout of knee pain yet and went to physical therapy for 3 months. I didn’t run from mid December until the beginning of February. I started a return to running plan, and made it 12 weeks long so the progression was slow.

Between the strength work and exercises with PT, slow load but consistent runs each week, I shaved off over 6 minutes from my turkey trot in November and my knees have been pain free! Riding a high this morning!
