Just beat Super Mario Bros for the first time! (Also the first Mario game ever i finished.)
Honestly I did find the game really fun to learn and beat (except world 7 and 8), I do have a big background with 2D sonic games though so i think it might've helped. Overall then the game was really enjoyable! I really like how Mario controls in this game, he does feel kind of slippery sometimes, otherwise the gameplay is very tight and the platforming is nice. I did struggle though the last two worlds where they crank up the difficulty a lot. If you're a hammer bros and you're reading this, fuck you.
I did use the warp zones in my first run though, dont judge me. So now I'm replaying the game multiple times whilw trying to actually finish it without cheating. After that I'm probably gonna play Super Mario Bros 2, follow up with Mario 3, Mario world, etc. In resume, really fun game, would play again, the music is catchy, i hate turtles too now.
