I'm from Australia and I'm planning a trip to Norway in Jan/Feb 2027 that will roughly last a month and am looking for some advice and recommendations of where to go.

I'm thinking of doing the Oslo to Bergen train ride and the Bergen to Flåm train as well. I also really want to explore some national parks but I'm unsure of how public transport works in Norway and what places are accessible. Is it better to just rent a car for two weeks to access better spots or can I just train/bus/ferry my whole journey?

What are some things to do in Norway in Jan/Feb?

What are some must see spots? Where should I avoid? What should I know beforehand, etc.
