





I did a thing!! First time ever forging laminated steel! 80crv2 and nickel (San mai/Go mai?)
I finally did it! I took that thumb out of my ass and forged some billets out of some 80crv2 and nickel stacks.
I did not get the core really centered as you can see in the nickel on the bevels. Grinding is even so it was the forging process i would think, but still really happy how this came out!
i'll happily take any pointers. but i just want to add that i have extremely limited options to work with. doing most of the work by hand in my apartment so no power tools. and what i have in terms of a workshop is a verry rudamentary setup at my parents place. 😅
