Johnny Gosch was a paperboy in West Des Moines, Iowa, United States, who disappeared between 6 and 7am on September 5th, 1982. He is presumed to have been kidnapped.

On December 6th, 2009, Susan Powell, a 28—year—old mother of two from West Valley City, Utah, disappeared from her home under suspicious circumstances. Her husband, Josh Powell, was identified by police as a person of interest but was never charged.
In February of 2012, after a court awarded temporary custody of the couple's two sons to her parents, Josh killed himself and the children in a deliberate house explosion during a supervised visit.
