Yes that's right, QuizBolt beta is not going anywhere. After a 3 month hiatus I am happy to present to you the latest beta version with the following improvements:

  • Improved leaderboard design.
  • Fixes incorrect timing/score for the 1st question, and more robust timing in general.
  • New 'Pack Statistics' page to see how you did at each topic.
  • New share sheets at the end of each game! Brag your performance with swanky result graphics!
  • New share sheets to brag your topic results (access from the Stats > topic details page).
  • Added Forgot Password functionality.
  • Added ability to change your username.
  • Added a new summary section to your Stats page.

So last week I ran out of credits on my $20 plan so decided to upgrade. I had the $100 plan for several months and had recently downgraded 2 months ago. During upgrade I was asked to verify my identity. I didn't want to do it but tried anyway with my residence permit. This was rejected (understandably since it's not a national ID which I didn't want to upload) and I wasn't able to try a second time with another document. In frustration and protest I cancelled it, but realised shortly after I do need to continue working.

So I thought fine I'll stay on the $20 plan. I proceeded to renew it for a year to avoid any further issues like this. The payment went through fine (180€ minus 5 bucks or so prorated), and the renewal was successful.

BUT: Claude has now completely stopped working. Any attempt to send any message or use Claude Code says identity verification is required. But when I try to verify it says verification was unsuccessful and to try contacting support.

I've already contacted them twice using the form for ID verification issues. No response.

I've contacted them also via the Fin AI bot which after a point said a human will take a look. One week passed with zero response.

The situation is that I'm out of a 180 bucks with zero access to the service, no response from support.

Keep in mind mine is a bonafide account with legit coding use, I've even entered my VAT ID, address etc. to get a proper VAT invoice. My account has been active for about a year, switching between the $100 and $20 tiers as and when required.

How can I trust this company ever again? They're even refusing a refund under the EU 14-day withdrawal rule saying if you have been subscribed for a while then cancel it and resubscribe, the law doesn't apply. This is completely false, the 14 day rule applies to any online purchase, no questions asked.

I am at a loss what to do than to wait it out, but I am extremely annoyed that a legitimate paying customer is being treated this way. I'm posting here as a cautionary tale for everyone who said the ID verification will only apply to questionable users.
