'Nutrition for Mortals' is absolutely on *fire* these days
If you've tried it before and weren't quite hooked, I encourage you to give it another run. They are REALLY finding their groove. Matt Priven is genuinely hilarious. They even put out a near-full-length April Fools' Day episode.
When the subject of this podcast comes up (usually in the backdrop to a lament about the current geologic pace the MP publication schedule) inevitably someone mentions that they gave it a shot and it didn't snag them. That's okay! It didn't snag me at first either, why I felt the need to post this. In the beginning a lot of their topics seemed to be snoozes to me, and the main reason I kept them on my podcast roll was because they are ad-free.
But lately they have just gotten so good. I'm sure part of it is the the US has gotten so stupid that the corpus of potential subjects has grown immeasurably, but part of it is definitely finding their voices edutainers.
Anyway, that's all. I just wanted to praise Jen and Matt and maybe give anyone who isn't listening to them something to consider.
