Check engine light was on, had dealer run code and came back P11AB for the VCR control module. i asked them to check the battery and they said it was good. Gave me a quote for $1700 to fix. i said I'd wait.

A week later the battery was dead when i tried to leave for work. Had it replaced and check engine light went away. I haven't had another issue again for a month.

Figured I'd post in case anyone else has this error code or check engine light come on that it might very well be the battery and not to take the dealership's word for it.
