Amazing demos taken down? Help find
Hi there, a couple years ago I stumbled across some Weezer demos on YouTube that, as a fan who lost interest after Pinkerton - blew my mind.
I could be mistaken, but I think in the comments people were saying the songs were written in the early 2000s.
I made a 5 song playlist to show to friends (hey, look what Weezer could have put out but didn't!?!), but discovered today that 4 of the 5 songs were taken down.
The only one still up is a track that did make it to an album, albeit in an extremely mutilated form (Haunt You Everyday): https://youtu.be/VNoRB57yLak?si=j5mBSqF2KQFfkndD
I am trying to find the other 4 songs. All I can remember is that they had a similar production quality as the Haunt You version I linked, and one of the songs had a lyric along the lines of 'pretty girls never looked my way'.
the thumbnail was of a black fish outline on a blue background
hopefully a super fan can help me out... those songs were so good
PS I have since gotten into OK Human - awesome record. feel free to suggest more tunes along the lines of Blue, Pinkerton, OK, and these mysterious demos I can't track down
thanks!
