The one thing, I hope the high republic does as I almost finish the light of the Jedi

I just started reading the high republic and it’s so great. Both the world and the factions are greatly explored. It’s really looking to be a 9.2 out of 10 book.

The one thing I need the high republic to do is focus on the characters.

Like none of them are bad it’s just that the only one who has had any growth so far has been bell with learning to float.

And I really do like all of the characters but I just really hope that the following books challenge/change the characters.

But I know that the point of the first book is introduce you to the era and the characters and villains. I just hope that we get to dive deeper in the characters in future books

The rise of Skywalker novelization really improved on the best aspect of episode nine which is the bond between the characters and the emotions.

Very much improved characters that were already well written in the movie like Rey, Poe, and Ben.

And massively improved characters that weren’t given much attention like Finn, Leia(for obvious reasons), and zori.

And the final hug and Rey Skywalker moments were very much improved by both the buildup throughout the book and the inner dialogue in the book.
