Switching from Lexapro because of low libido
I (28 F) have been on Lexapro for 3 years and it works well for me but I've been experiencing low libido for so long. I told my psychiatrist and he suggested switching to Viibryd since, according to him, it doesn't affect libido like Lexapro does. Lexapro works well for me, I'm still depressed but it makes me stable enough to be able to get out of bed and live. I also take lorazepam to help with my anxiety (been on and off according to my anxiety levels). Lexapro does make me feel a bit dull but I honestly don't care as long as I'm stable enough, but the libido part is killing me and I need a change. I also didn't gain much weight on Lexapro because I'm a gym rat. I'm on low doses now, 10mg Lexapro and 1mg Lorazepam, I used to have a higher dose but I'm okay with a lower dose now.
I'm just scared because I've been on the same med for so long and it works and I'm scared to change but I really have 0 libido and I can't enjoy sex like I used to. I would really like to hear your experiences if you've made the change between these meds. Thank you all.
