I live in my RV full time and currently residing in Joshua Tree, CA at an RV campground. I’ve been trying to deal with a rat that’s been coming and going for weeks now and none of my repellents or traps seem to be working. It’s starting to get worse, as it has been trying harder than usual to get into my food storage and I fear it’s only a matter of time before it chews through my storage containers. Or worse, makes its way into our bedroom while we sleep, the ultimate nightmare fuel.

There is a narrow space between the kitchen area and the hallway leading to the bathroom and bedroom where it is getting in. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem as though it would be possible to seal it off, considering the fridge cables and other big cables run through there. It is also impossible to reach due to the hallway sliding door being there in the already narrow space, and I can’t seem to figure out a way to access that area from the outside of the RV.

I have been up since 3 AM trying to figure this out and I’m losing my mind. I would appreciate any advice or tips that you may have for dealing with a literal desert rat.
