Common issue with Garmin watches and connection to earphones/headphones
I have a Garmin Forerunner 255 Music. Like a lot of Garmin Music watch users, I have a earphone connection issue with where initial connection works fine, but after about 5-10 minutes of use, the connection gets really bad, with frequent skips and jumps making it unlistenable. Removing and re-pairing fixes the issue for another 5-10 minutes when it all starts again.
There are lots of people on Reddit reporting the exact same issue with multiple headset types, while other headsets seem to work fine. I haven't seen a clear description of what features might cause the issues and what might work. One person has suggested that the watch has BT 5.2 and struggles with anything 5.3 of higher. This supports my experience, where it worked fine with my old MPOW Flame (not sure of BT version), but not with my newer MPOW Flame solo (apparently BT 5.4?)
Just wondering if this expert community had any insight? I want to buy new open ear headphones, but don't want to risk having the same problem again.
