I noted that Uncle Ray Minniecon wore his family's medals on his left side, joined with his own Australian Service Medal. If you are wearing medals awarded to people other than yourself they should be worn on the right side. Brigadier (ret.) Vince Williams is showing the correct wearing of medals, with his medals placed on the left, and those awarded to family placed on the right.

Anyone know why?

It seems like a pretty big oversight for someone speaking at the dawn service. Not just by Uncle Ray but by the organisers and others involved in the service.
