PCR!

Pathology came back at 11pm - pathologic complete response!

TBH, I’m so relieved but also - beginning to see “clean up” after cancer treatment as the next hurdle. Recovering from DMX, healing up the keytruda colitis, fixing my chipped tooth, etc.

Also, now I have recurrence to worry about. I don’t think this part stops ever, but I’m hoping it at least recedes.

And I’m so so grateful to this community.

Fuck cancer.

German court rules in favor of family who couldn’t find a sun bed

Interesting case where a vacationer and his family couldn’t get a poolside chair. There were signs prohibiting visitors from reserving unused chairs for more than 30 minutes. They complained to the tour operator and the hotel, to no avail.

The German court found the hotel should have followed its own posted rules and by failing to do so, deprived the family of their equal access rights.

I finished Keynote 522 mid March. I have had kiwi hair since then. No lashes. No brows.

When does it come back? Summer is coming and I can’t believe I’m still bald as a cue ball.

Here I sit, bald and boobless. (DMX last Tuesday) Took a shower and I just look like absolute hell. Pale AF, dark circles, surgical incisions, drains, concave chest, I have the finest peach fuzz on my head. I have about four eyelashes left. I’ve gained thirty pounds (thank you, steroids and stress). Also I think I chipped a tooth. And I have colitis.

Six months ago, I had beautiful silver hair just past my shoulders, I was in good physical shape, work going well (for once!), got rid of all my fat clothes.

I know this is the least important thing but it’s hard to look in the mirror these days.

Also, waiting for pathology is its own form of torture.

Fuck cancer. Fuck fuck fuck cancer.

I’ve had six keytruda treatments so far. I’ve been off chemo now five weeks. Surgery Tuesday.

My doc thinks my lingering nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea are Keytruda related. In order to not cancel my surgery, we are starting low dose prednisone now and doubling the dose after surgery.

Did anyone have to stop keytruda due to side effects? Anyone else with colitis? Did it go away?

Fuck cancer.
