Bonfire workaround
I have the bonfire - it’s good for about 25 mins with a nice secondary burn and good flames. But then it dies down and the flames drop below the rim. I have to add at least two logs every 25-30 mins to get a good flame. I don’t mind so much for an hour or two but then when I’m ready to finish I have to sit around for another 1-1.5 hours while it burns out enough for me to be comfortable walking away from it. That entire time I can’t see the flames, just an orange glow.
Is there any workaround? I saw someone bury theirs but I’m not doing that. I saw someone say wood pellets made a big flame but don’t know what they are/ how to use them (haven’t googled it yet). I was thinking of raising the burn plate about halfway to the top. Anyone try this? Would fit less wood but maybe could see the flames longer? Any ideas suggestions/ appreciated
