I didn't realize my chronic migraines were connected to my blood sugar until Mounjaro fixed both

I've had chronic migraines for 15 years. Botox. Triptans. CGRP inhibitors. Nothing fully worked. I'd get 10-12 migraine days per month. Started Mounjaro for diabetes. Within 2 months, my migraines dropped to 2-3 per month. Within 4 months, I had my first ever 30-day migraine-free streak.

I told my neurologist and she wasn’t surprised at all, and I brought it up with some friends on the discord as well but they also weren’t too surprised. My neurologist said there's growing evidence linking migraine to metabolic dysfunction, insulin resistance, glucose variability, inflammation. GLP-1s address all three. I'm not off my migraine meds. But I've cut triptan use by 80%. That's life-changing.

Edit: Link to the discord i mentioned btw

I am starting Semaglutide next week with my first shot on Monday. The issue is I have a friend's

wedding in two weeks with a massive dinner and drinks, and I actually want to just eat normal

for that one day. Is it okay to force a cheat day on Sema or is that a terrible idea? I need to know

what will actually happen to my body if I eat and drink way more than usual while the medication

is in my system. I definitely do not want to delay starting my shots just because of this one

event, but I also do not want to spend the entire wedding throwing up in the bathroom.

One person is throwing up at 2mg, another gets total appetite suppression at just 250mcg, and someone else feels absolutely nothing at 4mg. We all know basically every source we use is operating in a gray area. A lot of them flash Janoshik lab reports to prove their stuff is real. A vendor can just send in one good batch to get the official paper and then sell everyone else complete garbage.

The only way to actually know is sending a vial to the lab yourself, but that gets way too expensive since you lose the vial and have to pay the testing fee. I think my current source is legit because the other stuff I get from them clearly works, like getting way darker on MT2. I am not saying people are lying about their side effects, but none of us actually know how pure our vials are. It feels like the only real way to find out is testing a few different vendors yourself and comparing how your own body reacts.
