🇨🇦 The Harsh Truth About Making Money Online in Canada

I’m just gonna be honest.

Most people here aren’t going to make money online.

Not because it’s a scam.
Not because “everything is saturated.”

It’s because of how they approach it.

I see the same pattern nonstop:

  • try something for a couple days
  • make a few dollars (or nothing)
  • get annoyed
  • quit
  • jump to the next “method”

Then after a few weeks it becomes:

“Nothing works.”

But the real reasons people fail aren’t complicated.

1. No consistency

People don’t stick with anything.
They check once, maybe twice, then disappear.

This stuff only works if you treat it like something you actually do every day.

2. Quitting way too early

Most platforms take time to warm up.

If you quit early:

  • your profile never improves
  • you never learn what works
  • you never get better opportunities

So of course it feels like it “doesn’t work.”

3. Not reading anything

This one is huge.

People skip the basics:

  • how to set up profiles
  • how to qualify for more
  • what surveys/offers to avoid

Then they wonder why they get screened out constantly.

4. Doing everything randomly

Jumping between apps.
Clicking whatever pops up.
No plan at all.

That’s the fastest way to waste time.

What people think vs reality

People think:

“Download app → answer questions → get money.”

Reality:

  • some apps are garbage
  • some are okay
  • a few are actually worth it

If you don’t know the difference, you’re just guessing.

What changed things for me

Once I stopped treating it like random apps and actually learned how everything works, everything got easier.

  • I only use what’s worth it
  • I skip low-paying stuff
  • I know what to click and what to avoid
  • I stay consistent

Now it’s predictable.

Not life-changing money.
But steady.

And yeah… most people still won’t do this

They’ll read this and:

  • still jump around
  • still quit early
  • still ignore the basics

That’s why most people fail.

If you actually want to do this properly

I put everything into a simple breakdown:

  • what to use
  • how to set it up
  • how to qualify for more
  • what to avoid
  • how to get past the “few dollars a day” stage

If you want it, just comment “GUIDE” or DM me.

I’ll send it over.

What are the best survey apps in Canada that actually pay right now?

I went down this rabbit hole for a while and tested a bunch of them. Most are either super slow, low paying, or just not worth your time

But there are a few that are decent if you use them properly

What I found:

  • most survey apps = $5–$20/day if you’re consistent
  • some days are better than others (depends on what surveys you qualify for)
  • payouts are usually PayPal or gift cards (Amazon, etc)
  • biggest mistake is relying on just ONE app

The move is to rotate between a few good ones instead of sticking to one

I actually broke down the best ones I’ve found (for Canada specifically) here:
https://www.bonustask.com/best-survey-apps-canada.html

No BS list, just what’s actually working

Also — if you wanna go beyond just taking surveys, you can actually stack this by sharing them on TikTok / FB / Quora. That’s where it turns into something more consistent instead of just small daily earnings

But yeah if you just want something simple to start, those apps are a decent entry point
