Modi spends ₹1.5 crore every single day for promotion
The Narendra Modi government spent a total of ₹5,987.46 crore on advertisements from the financial years 2014-15 to 2024-25 (11 years), averaging nearly ₹1.5 crore per day. This expenditure, incurred through the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) for promoting various central government schemes and policies across print, electronic, digital, outdoor, and other media platforms, was revealed in a written reply in the Lok Sabha by Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting *L. Murugan* in response to a question by Samajwadi Party MP Iqra Hasan and others. Spending fluctuated over the years, peaking at ₹889.34 crore in 2017-18 before declining during the pandemic years and rising again recently.
