920 + to 1525+ Setup Issues
In advance I want to say thanks to who ever is helping me because the support inside synology¨s website is hot garbage, everything AI no option to call a tech support human. That is not OK.
My 920 stopped working and I was out of warranty so I upgrgraded to a 1525+
I installed the drives from the 920 and turned it on.
It recognized the drives and when I was asked to either keep setting or to set it up as new. I clicked on keep settings.
Then I go to find.synology.com
Finds the 2 IP addresses
Takes on my old user and password but when I try to get the 2FA it never comes through. My phone never receives the request so I cant log in.
I search around and I decide to do the hard reset to make the 1525+ like it came out of the box and maybe this time I can set it up as new because there is some kind of issue even the login page still shows up as a 920+ even when I select one of the 2 IP numbers and it says it is a 1525+
So I removed the hard drives and tried to do the hard reset . push for 4 seconds until beep. immediately remove paper clip then push for 4 seconds and it is supposed to do 3 beeps (as per every youtube I found) but it only does it once and wont do the hard reset.
Tried opening a ticket with my synology account because the AI bot only directs me to troubleshooting options , waited a few hours to get a reply written by AI !!! I mean its a bit dissapointing when you spend that much money and not being able to talk to a human.
