Kelly crying in the latest BTTB episode because of people calling her stupid

Just listened to the latest Back to the Barre episode and my heart was breaking for Kelly. Hearing her get emotional and start crying over the comments people leave about her was really hard to listen to. Some of the things people say online about her are genuinely so cruel. Calling her stupid, uneducated, mocking or complaining about the way she reads, etc. People seriously forget that she’s a real person and not just a character from a tv show. She’s gone through major health struggles recently, including BEATING breast cancer, multiple strokes, and having open heart surgery. And yet she’s still showing up and being open on the podcast even while being ridiculed online. Just wish people would think a little before making posts or comments about Kelly.

Maddie in her Black Swan costume in S1 E10?

I just noticed Maddie is wearing her Black Swan duet costume in the background of Nia and Kenzie’s duet performance in S1 E10, but I thought Chloe and Maddie didn’t perform that dance until nationals the next week. Anyone have any info on this ?

I will never understand how Maddie’s solo “Disappear” didn’t win 1st place

She was just a baby yet was able to portray such an emotional dark story about an abused child drowning herself…idk I just feel like not many kids that age would be able to convey such a heavy story. It’s one of my favorite Maddie solos and I’m still bitter she didn’t win lol.

Maddie’s first rom-com comes out this December!

Maddie just announced she’s starring in her first ever rom-com!! It’s a Netflix Christmas movie called “In a Holidaze” coming out this December, and she says the plot is kind of like Groundhog Day where she keeps reliving the same day over and over. I’m excited to see her star in a lighthearted and cute Christmas movie! What do you guys think?

I’ve been stuck on this name and I really need outside opinions because I keep going back and forth 😭

I love the name Adelina, but for some reason the spelling Adelaina feels more flowy and pretty to me when I say it out loud. I can’t tell if I’m just overthinking it or if the extra “a” actually makes it feel more soft and flowy. I also just really love the nickname Lainey for Adelaina.

Do you think Adelaina looks like a legitimate name or does it feel too made-up compared to Adelina? I love both sounds, I just can’t decide which spelling actually makes the most sense long-term.
Would love honest opinions on which one you’d choose and why 🙂

What’s everyone’s favorite genre/style of dance to watch each dancer perform?

Here are mine:
Maddie — musical theater / jazz / tap

Chloe — contemporary / lyrical

Paige — musical theater / jazz

Brooke — acro

Nia — musical theater / jazz

Kenzie — hip hop / acro

Kendall — contemporary

Kalani — contemporary / lyrical

Brynn — contemporary / lyrical

I feel like some dancers were technically good in a lot of styles, but certain genres just matched their performance quality and stage presence way better. Curious what everyone else thinks! (Feel free to add more dancers from other seasons too!)

I swear Lisa is exactly that type of 50 year old coworker so many of us young women have dealt with in our 20s, and it’s honestly wild to watch it play out on TV. Like the weird, unprovoked hostility toward a younger woman who’s literally just existing..and theres NO actual conflict or issue…just this underlying resentment because she’s young, confident, and attractive. I’ve experienced that in workplaces before, and it’s so uncomfortable because you’re sitting there like ok…what did I even do to you???

Lisa straight up says, “I don’t like you because you scare me, you’re tall, you’re slim, you’re beautiful, you have a confidence that is so powerful that it makes me shrink.” And Elise is just standing there like ??? because what are you even supposed to do with that?? And then Lisa starts crying. Like girl what 😭

It’s one thing to feel intimidated, but turning that into hate or mistreatment is so unfair and weird. And the crying right after just made it feel even more uncomfortable. And the worst part is how common this dynamic actually is irl.
