What happened to Frithcast?
For those who don't know, Firthcast was a podcast about Heathenry that schratches a very specific itch. They went beyond the "oh isn't it silly that Thor had a dress on once also here is a list of Poetic Edda story's." And actually inspired next-step thinking. Interpretations and opinions that made me want to actively listen. Their voices are clear and consistent, and there is no random harp in the background making the words incomprehensible. Overall, this podcast is the bar I now judge heathen content on. (the few minutes spend on geeky jokes and references are annoying to me, but easy enough to just bite through).
The last post on facebook I can see is from february 2024 and very much talking about the intent to keep going. Websites and social media accouns they mentioned in their podcasts turn up empty. It is such a shame because I love podcasts about heathenry that isn't the same few points of trivia and shallow opinions. And I only really got into their work recently.
https://gythainjeans.podbean.com/ The podcasts themselves are luckily still online. Does anyone know if there is a reason they stopped? What happened to them? And also, are there other podcasts out there that are as good as this at having content not limited to basic lore and historical trivia?
