When did you start feeling better after you started taking Cymbalta (for anxiety in particular) *need hope*.

20mg for 2 weeks, 40mg for 2 weeks, now 60mg for 5 days now.

Anxiety is still very high and has gotten worse since upping to 60mg. I had one of the most horrendous panic attacks recently. When does the side effect of worsening anxiety pass?

I know it can take 6-8 weeks for the medication to work. However, I want some hope. I’m also cross tapering from Lexapro so maybe that is contributing to my worsening anxiety.

I feel like I’m going crazy

2 weeks of cymbalta at 20mg, 2 weeks at 40mg, now 4 days at 60mg and I feel like I’m going crazy. The anxiety is horrible, my sleep quality has decreased dramatically, had a severe panic attack today that resulted in some SH, increase in suicidal thoughts. I just want to stop this med cold turkey after almost 5 weeks and go back to Lexapro bc even though Lexapro only treated my anxiety some it’s better than this.

TLDR: severe side effects. Wanting to stop cold turkey after 5 weeks to go back to Lexapro.

Hi. Lexapro stopped working for me after a couple of years. Zoloft worked for me for many years but had a bad reaction after trying it again (gave it over 6 weeks and felt worse as time went on).

Trying Cymbalta this time.

First 2 weeks - 20mg Lexapro 20mg Cymbalta

Now a few days on 15mg Lexapro and 40mg Cymbalta.

Will up to 60mg after a couple more weeks.

How did this differ for you than SSRI’s?

I sit here with tears in my eyes as I just want this to end already. :( please share some success stories with anxiety. my physical symptoms of anxiety are so bad.
