I know i'm really supposed to be responding to the question below the view ("In light of this view"), but is it bad to ignore the statement altogether if the wording is different to the question below?

example :

"States of doubt and confusion are of great literary interest"
In the light of this view, consider ways in which writers explore positions of uncertainty.

Would it then be fine to ignore the words doubt and confusion, and write about moments of uncertainty where there is not for example confusion
