I Am Sam, the movie that broke my heart when I was only 7 years old

This scene from *I Am Sam* really hits me hard every time I see it. The way Lucy tells him, “You’re not like other dads,” doesn’t sound like a criticism, but like something much deeper: to her, her dad is unique, enough, and full of love. And that’s where the emotional punch comes in… Sam doesn’t hear it that way. He interprets it as meaning he’s not good enough, and his reaction—apologizing—breaks your heart.

To me, that scene perfectly captures the film’s central theme: what does it really mean to be a “good father”? Because Sam, despite all his shortcomings, gives Lucy something that many others don’t: unconditional love.

The best part of the day was turning on the TV and watching Brandy and Mr. Whiskers.

Those were the days when nothing mattered and we just had fun for a while. Any other fans of this show?
