i uploaded a song to distrokid last week and i used a beat from youtube that i paid for. today i got an email saying that it was rejected because it contained “samples” or were too similar to other artists songs. in the license it says we can’t copyright the beat unless you exclusively buy it but that’s not the case and now i’m not sure what to do. had this happened to anyone else ? is there anything i can do or did i waste my money ?

edit: i ended up asking to speak with a real person since the bot wasn’t helping and got emailed today that they manually reviewed it and was sent back to stores. they said that if this were to happen again with other beats to just email and they’d handle it. i guess everyone with yt beats does this.
