Recurring vaginal candida after sex
Since February, I started seeing a guy and having sex with him, and I’m still seeing the same person. The problem is that every time I have sex with him, a few days later I get a yeast infection (candida).
I’ve already seen a doctor and was prescribed fluconazole (two doses), but honestly it didn’t really work for me. Antifungal creams don’t seem to work anymore either. I recently went to another doctor and was prescribed terconazole, but I’m starting to feel really desperate because this has happened about five times since February.
I was drinking kefir and it helped a little, but it doesn’t completely get rid of it. It always comes back after I have sex. Sometimes we use condoms and sometimes we don’t.
Does anyone have any advice or know what could help? I would really appreciate any suggestions. I’m honestly getting desperate.
