Finding a nanny and current hourly rates

Can you please share your experience on what current hourly rates are for nannies in Greenwich (and whether that’s for 1 or 2 kids)? Any suggestions on finding a nanny if we are new / don’t have any ties to the area? I assume local parents’ groups might be a good resource. If I’ll only be going back to work part time – would it be that much harder to find a part-time nanny in a place like Greenwich? (I’ve just heard that most nannies everywhere prefer a full-time role so finding a good person on a part-time basis can be harder). Thank you!

Floor bed recommendations for a 9-month old (who likes to stand and tends to hit himself on everything)

What floor bed set-ups have you used for little ones under 1y old? I’ve seen some posts here recommending the Sprout floor bed, but my concern with anything like it is that our baby will hit his head on the wooden sides (he rolls around and likes to crawl full force forward). I’d use a mattress directly on the floor, but I’ve also read that such a set up doesn’t provide sufficient air circulation to prevent mold on/damage to the mattress (and I’d really like to preserve the mattress since I plan on using it for a while). What about placing the mattress on wooden slats on the floor – some sources say this still doesn’t provide sufficient air circulation but wanted to check if people have done this and not had issues.

Also, what types of padding have you used on the floor around the bed to soften incidental falls, etc.? Our baby recently learned how to pull up to stand, so that’s all he does and often loses his balance. Thank you!
