Galaxy Z Flip7 FE – Can’t use apps on cover screen (MultiStar not working?)
Hi everyone, I just got a Galaxy Z Flip7 FE and I’m trying to use apps on the cover screen, but I can’t get it to work.
The cover screen itself is working fine (widgets, notifications, etc.), but I want to open apps from the front screen.
What I did so far:
Installed Good Lock (from Galaxy Store)
Installed MultiStar
Enabled “Launcher Widget”
Selected apps (YouTube, Chrome, etc.)
Restarted the phone multiple times
Installed all system updates
But I still don’t see any “Launcher” or apps widget on the cover screen.
Samsung support told me it’s “supported,” but I’m not sure if it’s actually fully working on the Flip7 FE or if it’s limited.
For context, I was using a Motorola Razr 2024 before this, and the external screen there was much easier to use with apps. Now I’m honestly starting to feel like I should have just gone for the Razr Ultra instead.
Is anyone here able to use apps on the cover screen with this model?
Am I missing a step, or is this just a limitation of the FE?
I’m still within my return window, so I just want to understand if this is how it really is before I decide to keep it.
