Has anyone here had a supracervical hysterectomy? I'm curious what your experiences have been like.

My surgeon was hesitant to agree to do that instead of a total, saying no one does them anymore, but agreed after I explained why I want to keep my cervix. Does anyone know if that's true? Or is my surgeon just inexperienced with supracervical hysterectomies?
