What do you think? Did he just make this up to have some legitimacy or do you think Edward really liked him and made this promise?
I saw close to me the brightest being I have ever seen, it looked like this picture. Like an angel made of pure light, not "material". He wasn't saying anything, but he was commanding some disgusting low creature (it was invisible). That creature kept saying that hell is overcrowded and that there are billions and billions of humans there, and he said that soon my father would be there too (he's most agnostic and not a very good person). With most people that I know. I woke up exactly 2:22.
This is how I imagine the peak ending for Homelander and the series.
Now that he has V1 he tries to become a god. He lasers the President and the House of Representatives and declares himself the sole saviour of America. Massive protests erupt, he starts to genocide people en mass. Even his loyalists despise him and he starts killing them too.
Soldier boy has a crisis of conscience and decides to face him alongside most surviving sups after watching the slaughter. Even the Deep joins them. They face him in front of the White House. Homelander kills the vast majority of them but Soldier Boy manages to depower him. Only Butcher and Homelander are standing, both depowered by Soldier Boy's blast. Butcher starts to beat the shit out of him, though Butcher is in way worse condition since he only had compound V and not V1, they fight for minutes like normal humans. He manages to kill Homelander with his crowbar and his brains are splattered all around, but as soon as he's done Butcher starts to bleed from his nose, ears and eyes and dies laughing (brain cancer from the temporary V + injuries). In the end most if not all sups are dead, even if some remain society is done with them and they will just fade away and die with no more being created with compound V. Now the world got rid of the sup crisis just like in the comics and no one ever wants anything similar to happen ever again.
