This is a bit long, but I'm looking for advice/tips. Bought a 2026 Ranger XP 1000 Northstar in February. Noticed it had a small leak at the end of March. I called the dealership and was informed it would be 3 weeks before they could look at it. OK, not ideal but I'll survive. We parked it as we did not want to do any damage. Dropped the unit off on 4/23. Two weeks later I called said dealership and was informed the parts would be here this week, and we should have it back before the weekend. Today I got a call saying that actually the parts are on back order, and not expected until July 15th. The dealership seemed nonchalant and said something along the lines of their hands were tied.
I immediately asked for contact info for a territory rep, but they seemed unlikely to give out their information. They gave me a case number and advised I call the polaris customer service number.
I then called Polaris, and the person I spoke with was aware of the issues, and again said its likely to be awhile. I was told to call the dealership, and have them start the process of a vehicle down order, to try to expedite the parts. Annoyed (this should not be my responsibility to have this started), I called the dealership back and relayed the message from Polaris.
I was told they would see what they could do, but dont get my hopes up.
I have significant amount of experience dealing with manufacturers and warranty situations in the outdoor power channels, and have never heard of a situation with such a long delay. Potentially 4 or 5 months down on a brand new 32k dollar machine is unacceptable. I love the machine and I am not afraid of legal action if necessary.
Any tips out there? Advice on who to get ahold of at Polaris?
Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏
