Is this the end? DS215j suddenly almost unmanageable
Been using my DS215j for over a decade, and this evening, it suddenly became very slow: I was streaming to my TV, and suddenly stopped. Downloads using SMB hang randomly, and the interface is super sluggish. I even cannot login 4 times out of 5. I have rebotted it, and shut it down, and it still is in this limbo state where it technically works, but barely. Is there something I can troubleshoot easily? There is no support for the product as it's EOL. Also how easily can I extract all the data in the hard drives to use in another NAS?

Soundproofing my WFH space is the best investment I have ever made
Live in a duplex, and my WFH space is upstairs. Open stair with no door: former owner had a glass panel and glass door installed that did nothing to stop the sound. Plus the staircase made a natural sound amplifier.
I live with a family, and I cannot expect everyone to be quiet at home during my work hours.
I got a contractor a few months ago to drywall with acoustic isolation + solid core door. Crazy expensive, as we also built a small storage space on top, but 100% worth it.
Working with such peace of mind, and no distractions, has improved my wfh experience by 1000%
