For several years now, I have been knitting baby blankets for family and friends and have never made one for myself. Until now. After losing my sweet dog a year and a half ago at the age of 16, I wanted a way to remember her time with us after we rescued her. This subreddit inspired me to look to knitting a temperature blanket, but I had a hard time figuring out how to breakdown the color pattern for the 13 years we had her in our life. With help from my husband, we figured out a plan after doing some more research with the data. Each 4 row section represents a month of her life and correlates to the average high temperature of where we were living at that time (we moved across the country and then back again). This took just over a year to finish and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. I will forever miss my very first fur baby, but so grateful to have a blanket capturing her 13 year life with us to hold onto forever
