Rant- speed limits
I know that neighborhood speed limits can be a pain. I get it! They were designed to be that speed for a reason. Much like speed zones around stop lights, they are meant to keep you at a speed where you could slow down in time to avoid an accident.
If a child or pet runs into the road in front of you, you are able to stop in time at 30 mph (the posted speed limit). You are gambling at 42 mph.
Side note- I also mean this for the loop headed to Buc-ee’s. If you are speeding you can make it harder for people merging and people turning onto the loop.
I hate to be a Debbie downer (laaaame), but I’m not trying to total my 16 year old car because someone is in a hurry and doesn’t care to follow the speed limits.
