Pigeon attacks: does he not like me?

I'm a new pigeon mom and would like to better understand his behaviour. I believe he is a boy as he is more territorial and loud then a female would be, as i've read.

He is about 6 to 8 months old I guess, but has been with me for a week only (i’ve adopted him, he was rescued after falling from the nest).

He has a small bedroom all for himself, and tho I understand he is somewhat territorial of his space he coos for us to go there and just chill with him.

The thing is, he loves to attack my hands and even wing slaps me. Sometimes it is because I touch something of his or don't let him go somewhere, like on top of my keyboard lol i did play fight with him a couple of times but stopped once I realized its not always playing for him.

Sometimes its random and more aggressive.

Today he was fine chilling on my legs and lightly pecking my phone and fingers while I scrolled, but once my husband came to the door he jumped on my shoulder, pecked my cheek then started biting my hands aggressively, also wing slapping me. I'm yet to notice if it happens more often if my husband comes close or is more random.

He is a cute guy otherwise, eats from our hands since day one, sits on my lap to preen himself, loves to sit on our heads and adores spending time with us. I was able to pet him once or twice.

Is this hormonal? Does he not like me? Or maybe he likes my husband more and gets jealous?

I love him so much and its not a big deal, just trying to understand him better and maybe learn how not to encourage bad behaviours.
