Postpartum Periods are back after 6.5 months.

Hey Mamas! I just wanted to share what I am feeling with the periods back in business after 6.5 months of delivery.

I handle my LO alone all day and I have a help for only cleaning. Rest everything I did myself, I could do it with no complaints whatsoever. I was also engaging my baby with lazy EC,so lots of langots and cotton diapers being used and changed throughout the entire day. I was also having zero screen time and having lots of developmentally appropriate activities with her.

I got my periods yesterday and the flow is heavy and it's like life is oozing out of me, my face has become pale. I didn't want them back. My baby was in disposable diapers all day long. I faked a smile or two to her the entire day. Kept laying next to wherever she's playing, like a dead log. And to the extreme, I made her watch Ms. Rachel so that I could cook something for her quickly and clear the place a bit here and there so that I can rest mentally as well or else she just scoots here and there on floor while I do all this and I had no energy to keep picking her up again and again.

On call, my husband sensed the exhaustion, took a half day leave, came back home, cooked lunch and ordered dinner and played with LO as far as he could with his work calls in between, so that was a bit of relief.

Today, on the second day, I am alone again. And my poor baby girl will again watch Ms. Rachel and laugh at her eccentricities, I guess.

How was your experience with Day 1 period postpartum?

TLDR: periods back, I am exhausted and I am sad that I am making my baby watch Ms. Rachel.
