Roosters in crowded residential areas - how is this considered okay?
I live in a pretty crowded residential area in Imphal, where houses are very close to each other, almost stacked around my building.
The issue is that multiple neighbors keep roosters and they are placed on upper floors at almost the same height as my room. So I end up having roosters from 3 different directions crowing right into my space.
It's not just early morning, this happens throughout the day and even at night. The only quiet period is usually late evening till after midnight. By around 2 AM, it starts again and continues into the morning, which seriously affects sleep and life at least for me.
These roosters crow at the same time, one after another, in different varying tones and pitches. Even if one stops, there is always another to continue crowing. I understand having hens for eggs, but roosters? In such dense living conditions, it feels like it should affect everyone nearby but people seem okay? How are people not affected by this noise?
Anybody else dealing with this? Is there any practical way people usually handle this situation without creating conflict with neighbors? I wish there was some law that takes this issue into consideration.
Thank you.
