3.6 Stripped block for head bolts.
Ok this thing is going to be the end of me. Start off by saying it’s a 2012 wrangler 3.6. Has a reman engine with about 2k miles. I know I know. So I have everything off and got the heads back. As I was tightening the head bolts two felt very easy when others didn’t. So after looking into ways to repair I seen the prices of these kits. Wow. I mean really? I really do not want to pay this much! I did see others out there like at auto zone and Napa much cheaper but I don’t want to make things worse. I just want it done correctly. I’m curious to see what y’all have done in this situation because I know it’s happened a lot. Can I rent a tool and then buy the sleeves separately or do I really need to fork out $700. Anyway it’s been nice taking my time doing this. Not my daily so I get to it when I have time. It just seems like it’s one thing after another.
