Can anyone tell me more about these fire-fighting grenades? West Midlands, UK
We’ve found a load of these in the cellar of an old house (16th century house, Shropshire, UK). As far as I can tell they’re a form of early fire extinguisher, made in the 19th century. They used to be full of soda water and were made to be chucked at fires. I’d just love to hear if anyone knows more about how these worked and if they worked (lol)
