Found this chonky asparagus at work, which is a golf course. This is a native prarie area that was burnt this spring and several years before it. It has also never been directly sprayed in at least the 4 years I’ve been there, but drift and leaching is a concern. Thing is massive tho and my 3 year old patch is full of pencil stalks. My questions

What’s the best way to transplant to my garden? I was planning to just take a section off like a perennial and transplant it lol.

Would you bring into your garden or would you be concerned? I can’t decide
